Where I stand

Protecting what we love

Environmental stewardship that preserves Wasaga Beach for the next generation.

Our dunes, wetlands, and waterfront are what brought most of us here. They're also what makes this town different from any other. Lose them and you don't just lose a view — you lose the reason Wasaga Beach exists as a community and a destination.

Environmental stewardship at the municipal level isn't about grand statements. It's about a series of small decisions, made consistently, on bylaws and permits and setbacks. Each one looks minor on its own. Added up, they decide what the next generation inherits.

What I'll push for at council

  • Strong, Consistent Environmental Protections I’ll support clear bylaws and enforcement around setbacks, dune protection, and wetland preservation—so small decisions consistently protect what makes Wasaga Beach unique.
  • Responsible Development Standards Growth is important, but it has to be done right. I’ll push for development that respects our natural assets and avoids short-term decisions that create long-term damage.
  • Transparency in Planning Decisions Residents should understand how and why decisions are made. I’ll advocate for clearer communication on permits, variances, and environmental impacts so the community stays informed.

We owe it to the kids growing up here to leave Wasaga Beach better than we found it. That's the standard. Every council decision — on every file — should be measured against it.
